Pablo Lafuente (born 1976) is a writer, editor, and curator. He is a co-editor of the journal Afterall, London and an associate curator at the Office for Contemporary Art Norway, Oslo. Lafuente has published his writing in catalogs and periodicals such as Afterall, Art Monthly, Parkett, Radical Philosophy, and The Wire, on topics including the possibility of criticism and the relationship between images and ideology, as well as on the work of artists Hito Steyerl and De Rijke and De Rooij, among others. Lafuente has participated in numerous conferences and symposia at ICA, London; Camden Arts Centre, Camden; Neue Berliner Kunstverein (N.B.K.), Berlin; and documenta 12, Kassel, among others. He is currently developing, within Afterall, a research project on the history of contemporary art exhibitions, and is also working on a PhD on political change in the work of Louis Althusser and Jacques Rancière at Middlesex University, London.
