An examination of how we might reclaim the critical practice of curating and understand curatorial practice more broadly, divorced from its current commitments to spectacle, trends, entertainment, and the art market. Thematics such as exhibitions as laboratories, the role of art in social analysis, and resistance as a tool in education are touched upon. See in particular Okwui Enwezor interviewed by Paul O’Neill ‘Curating Beyond the Canon’ and FW researcher Simon Sheikh’s text ‘Constitutive Effects: The Techniques of the Curator.’
