Marcus Geiger (born 1957) is an artist whose work employs quotidian materials and labored processes, reflecting on the nature of the “work of art” while taking an adamant stand outside of the art market. Recent exhibitions include: Heimspiel [home match], Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, St. Gallen, 2012; Reflecting Fashion: Art and Fashion Since Modernism, MUMOK Museum Moderner Kunst, Vienna, 2012; and Great Prospects!, 21er Haus, Vienna, 2011.
